I love books, so you can often find me at a library or a bookstore. Over my lunch hour I like to walk over to the local Barnes and Noble and look around. Today, I walked through the aisles and spotted the book, "Rachel's Tears." It is a book about Rachel Scott -- one of the kids killed in the Columbine massacre in April 1999. As I flipped through the pages I saw some of her actual journal entries, some of her poems, and some art that she had done. I was amazed by this young ladies heart and wisdom. At such a young age she was able to leave a wonderful legacy. As I read, I felt emotions welling up inside of me. I thought about my life and the statement I would like to make with it. I thought about my kids and how I pray that they will be safe. Her faith and her actions motivated me to love more, care more, and act on what I believe (not just talk about it).
